Call 911 for an emergency. The online roster is available independently of records-office hours, but it does not guarantee that staff can answer requests at all times. Use these routes for common needs:
- For a mugshot, booking record, roster search, or lawful correction process, begin with the Allegany County booking guide.
- For a recent arrest or named booking, use the current roster and recent-arrest source path. Allegany County has no verified official 24-hour booking feed.
- For a possible warrant, use the safe official routes on Most Wanted; do not approach or warn a wanted person.
- For court dates or outcomes, use Maryland Judiciary Case Search or call Allegany Circuit Court criminal/juvenile records at 301-777-5922. The courthouse at 30 Washington Street lists business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- For a state-sentenced prisoner, use the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services locator. DPSCS does not hold local ACDC records.
- For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator; for immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
- For release or custody alerts, use the official Sheriff app or Maryland VINE, both described on the home page.
The county’s general information-request office says it does not hold arrest or accident reports. Route Sheriff and jail booking requests to the Sheriff or Detention Center, and send municipal police requests to the city agency that created the record.
