Terms & Conditions

These terms apply whenever you browse or use Allegany County Busted Mugshots. Using the site means you agree to them. If you do not accept the conditions, please stop using the site.

This privately owned site is not affiliated with any government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither we nor our advertising partners offer services regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act for credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening. We provide links to Allegany County and Maryland inmate and jail-record resources, but we are neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation firm.

Nature of This Service

Allegany County Busted Mugshots is a private reference. It stores no official booking, court, or custody records and cannot confirm detention, release anyone, accept bond, or file an agency or court document.

Its pages direct visitors toward the Allegany County roster, records custodians, Maryland courts and corrections sources, federal locators, and optional outside research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the site lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

  • violate any applicable law through your use;
  • stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person;
  • use information for a hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decision;
  • attempt access to accounts, systems, or data without permission;
  • operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools; or
  • damage, overload, or interfere with service for others.

No Consumer Reports

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We provide no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a screening service. You agree not to use site or linked-tool information for:

  • hiring, firing, promotion, or another employment action;
  • tenant selection or any housing decision;
  • creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing;
  • license, permit, or government-program eligibility; or
  • any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Websites

Links may lead to jail rosters, agency pages, booking sources, Maryland corrections and court portals, legal-aid material, federal locators, and third-party research tools. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control those sites, their content, uptime, prices, or data practices. Review their own terms before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that:

  • any information is accurate, complete, or current;
  • access will be continuous or uninterrupted;
  • the service is free of errors, bugs, or security flaws; or
  • a partner search will be complete or useful.

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, Detention Center, Maryland DPSCS, a court, or another agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site, its owners, and its providers harmless from claims, losses, costs, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use, your conduct, or your violation of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Text, graphics, logos, design elements, and code belong to Allegany County Busted Mugshots or the respective content partner. You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or commercially exploit protected material without prior written permission.

Changes Take Effect When Posted

We may revise these terms at any time. Updated conditions take effect when posted here. Continued use after publication means you accept the revised terms.

Access May Be Withdrawn

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Maryland Law Applies

Maryland law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction within Maryland.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, it will be narrowed only as much as necessary. Every remaining provision continues in effect.
